[Cool Teen Sites]

I feel it's time to respond to to critics of these sites with a different point of view then that presented by sensationalistic reporters and politicians who in my opinion care only about a good story or getting press time. There is a story posted at msnbc.com entitled ‘Legal child porn’ comes under fire. The title already speaks volume about where they are coming from. I guess its like busting someone for selling 'Legal crack' or maybe something a politician can understand such as being indicted for taking 'Legal bribes' or committing 'Legal extortion'. How do you call something legal illegal or something illegal legal? Why must you use misleading confusing terminology? Oh yeah, you’re the entertainment media. Anyways, back to the point. Obviously we understand that a lot of people don't approve of these sites. Some go as far as to wish physical harm on people that have never harmed anyone in their lives. Why? Just because they have a different point of view then these parents. I find that sicker and more perverted then how they claim to feel about these sites. If I may take the liberty to quote a wise man Stephen B. Levine, “But this is America, where we tolerate lots of unsavory things for freedom of expression, and I don’t think we’re willing to give up these freedoms.”, his words says it all to me. I am in no way saying he personally approves or disapproves of these site so don't put your own spin on it. If these sites are legal under the law shouldn't anyone have the right to create and display them or access them without being labeled a pedophile child molester? Should all the people who came to these sites because of the television and website story then viewed or joined out of curiosity be considered as such?

I hope Mark Foley has good intentions with everything he does. But to come after people who are not committing any crimes and try to publicize and embarrass them and their family by putting them in front of a House Judiciary subcommittee smells to me like an attempt to get recognition for him. I know for a fact that these models are not being harmed or endangered any more then any other child in public exposure. Why not get the parents of the Olsen twins to testify? Besides, every day there are children being abused thru out the country who do not have any connections to websites. There has never been one shred of evidence that any of these models on our sites have been harmed because as a matter of fact they have not! Why not concentrate on the issues that affect thousands of children each day instead of a few that are legally doing nothing wrong? In my opinion it's just misdirected effort and resource. From Mark Foley, “This is reckless endangerment if I’ve ever seen it because you’re basically introducing your child to some really sick people,”. Why is this any different then selling tickets to a movie featuring children or having them do shows you can see on tv networks? Are they exploiting and endangering those children? "The idea that a stalker could track down a child model was bolstered by the fact that Zamost and his WTVJ team were able to track down “Amber” and her family, starting out with only a hint from Webe Web co-founder Jeff Libman that she might live in Palm Beach County and visual clues in the photos and videos in which she appeared." BS, BS, BS and more BS. Oh, the way the news media twists things. The reality is these news people spent 4 months trying to turn up something that would make good tv. We certainly knew about their activity from nearly the beginning of their investigation. Even though they have resources that most people don't they certainly set off the alarms that someone was nosing around. We knew what they were doing but we couldn't stop them from doing it as this is America. They would like you to believe they just took two pieces of info and found the model. I won't go into details about all the things they did trying to find these models. They never mention that prior to finding the models home they were confronted by the parents and police. Unfortunately the day we and state law enforcement were going to confront the reporters (we were not sure exactly who they were at the time) was Sept.11th., they did not show but showed the next day. Against my wishes the parents confronted the reporters. This was almost an invite to say bring your cameras over. The parents also asked to be left alone which of course these privacy invaders didn't respect. I personally think the media has caused more harm to these kids then anything else. What's the point of saying on tv that a models mother was in an adult related industry? Did she do something illegal? Is it anyone's business? It only serves to defame these people and create a sensational story. Let me mention also that due to the news report, a schoolmate’s mother called lilamber a whore. We are not breaking the law, we are harming nobody, we do not use taxpayer’s money, we don't impose our beliefs, judgments or morality on anyone else. But if you watch these biased stories you might think we are harmful. In my opinion it's totally irresponsible and potentially dangerous to show on tv these children and everyone else involved in the community we live in. These factually incomplete and misleading reports exposes everyone to malicious people who may be influenced by what they see and hear and do something harmful because they feel they are well intentioned. See stories on people shooting doctors because they performed abortions if you think this never happens.

There is also mention of discussion groups on Yahoo. There have been many groups that discuss certain child actors and entertainers in exactly the same way that these Internet models have been discussed. Why is that never mentioned? Is the media afraid to take on their own creations? NEWSFLASH- any indecent person who visits our sites most certainly watch tv shows and commercials with children in them, buy teen magazines and see adds in newspapers for children's wear. Fact is a lot of the stuff that people say and some pictures they post on these groups relating to our sites are disgusting in our eyes. We have fought for years with great cooperation from Yahoo to get these removed from Yahoo's service. Everyone has always and will always fight hard to protect these children. No matter what some of you think, these people have a right under the laws of this country to do this. It is their choice. There are bad elements in everything. Should we end religion because some clergymen have molested children? I'm sure there are plenty of people who have that viewpoint right or wrong as it may be. A bigger question, should ANY activity involving adults and children be stopped because some adults have taken advantage of the situation?

A short message to the press: You ask how these sites became so popular? Look in the mirror. Every time a story runs on this traffic increases and it becomes more popular. Ying Yang I guess.

To the people that write we are sick pedophiles based on what they see and hear, nobody involved in our sites or our organization is a pedophile. I'm sure the media's 4-month investigation into us would have turned that up if that were the case and it would be public knowledge.
Speaking of the that investigation, to turn up nothing after 2 months should have told you something much less investigating for 4 months. Just think, you could have captured all the petty thief toll takers in all of south Florida in that time. And what is the Murrow award for, creative writing and production? Face it, what you uncovered and reported could have been done in 1 week, it's not like this stuff was hiding anywhere. Why don't you report all the things that you searched and hoped to find but didn't find? In an area like south Florida even I could have uncovered something amiss that affected the community we live in and it's citizens, can't you? Also, if you find the images so horrible why have you shown them on your newscast so many times?
I thought this article from MSNBC was nicely done. I wish the MSNBC video segment was equally informative but i know that would take up a lot of valuable airtime. When only biased segments are shown I think it's really a disservice to the viewers and when the whole story isn't told it's a shame. If I knew a story would be presented fairly I would take part in it but my experience has shown this to rarely be the case.

Personally I don't concern myself about what choices people make for themselves and their family, as it is none of my business. I'm for the right of people to do things that only affects them no matter what it is. For those that think these sites are a new phenomena they are not and I've supported the rights to do these sites for many years now and will only change my position if the laws are changed as that is what I base my decision on. The real point to me is should photos such as the ones on these sites, most of which wouldn’t get even a second glance at if displayed in a photo album, be somehow made illegal? Where would that leave ordinary people whom just want photos of their kids at the beach or just posing for a photo? Is it because the internet is so public that these photos should be banned? If so maybe there should be a ban on swimsuits or skimpy clothing for children in public places.

To everyone who disagrees with this, send your opinions if you may but they might end up on a site so people can see your insightful comments and send their thoughts to you. More then likely I've read the same thing your writing already. It would be more productive to spend the time researching child porn if you care about the facts. Here is some good info. There is a lot of it out there if you really want to do something that makes a difference.

I've been reading some of the email all the nice people have been sending. I posted some for a bit but decided to take it down. I see no reason to attack these people by displaying the strange, ignorant, foul language stuff they write and letting the world see it. Some emails however are worth a mention I feel. A few people in Florida expressed their concern about these sites causing some changes in laws that will take away some rights we enjoy. HELLO! What's the point in having these rights if we can't use them for fear of them being taken away? If you don't like what a politician is doing try to vote him/her out of office and get your own person elected.

WOULD someone PLEASE make a valid argument as to how posing for a few hours a month at most will turn these girls into crack whore porn actresses with 5 kids from different daddies. Same thing about how these girls are not being allowed to be children. It is a common theme in so many emails but a very poor argument without some supporting reasoning or examples.

Webe Web corp.

Side notes about emails:

Many of you mention the clothes as being skimpy or too sexy. These outfits are store bought and made for children.

We have NOT ALTERED these sites because coverage on tv or radio. Content has not been removed, altered or anything else.

Once again, we are not sex offenders, pedophiles, criminals, child abusers or anything else your imagination comes up with. Don’t you think the investigative reporting done over 4 months would have turned up that evidence of that?
